Abstract

The aim of this paper is to establish an applicability for poststructuralist readings of subjectivation the- ories along the Labeling Approach as a placeholder for critical sociology of deviance. The extent to which subjectification theory approaches not only have conceptual value for critical sociology of deviance, but can also develop empirical-heuristic potentials. These potentials will be shown along an interpretation of a group discussion sequence. The group discussion was conducted within the framework of a DFG- funded project on juvenile delinquency and neosalafism in 2023.
